At the Adelphi Group of Companies, doing the right thing matters just as much as doing things well. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach reflects a long‑standing commitment to operating ethically, supporting our communities, protecting the environment and maintaining the highest standards across our operations.

We believe responsible business drives sustainable growth for our people, our customers and the wider world.

Environment

We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations through meaningful action and continuous improvement. Across our site, renewable energy and smarter resource use play a central role. Our roof hosts 256 photovoltaic solar panels that generate surplus renewable electricity each year, supporting both our own operations and the wider energy network. Alongside this, we harvest around 12,000 litres of rainwater every month, while a restored artesian well provides additional water for machine testing and cleaning processes.

Transitioning towards lower‑carbon technology is also a priority. Our air‑source heat pump significantly reduces emissions compared to previous heating systems, and future company vehicle replacements will be hybrid models as standard. Internally, we’ve built strong awareness around everyday recycling and waste reduction, helping us consistently recycle more than 95% of our cardboard each month. These efforts, along with many others, contributed to Adelphi achieving 'Committed' status from EcoVadis in 2025.

People

Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for our employees is fundamental to our culture. We champion well-being, personal development and long‑term career growth, ensuring every team member feels valued and able to thrive. Our strong health and safety culture reflects our responsibility toward those who work on our sites, while our training and development programmes help individuals shape their careers with confidence.

Our apprenticeship programme continues to open pathways for early careers and supports social mobility within our region. In 2025, we expanded these opportunities by welcoming our first intern, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent. Investing in people is central not only to our values but to our continued success as a business.

Community

Giving back to the community is deeply ingrained in our identity. We support a range of local and national charities through fundraising, volunteering and donations, and we actively work with schools and youth groups to inspire future careers in science, engineering and healthcare. Each year, we host Year 10 work experience placements and take part in STEM initiatives designed to spark curiosity and encourage young people to explore technical subjects.

Our support extends beyond education. We have proudly helped rebuild local businesses such as Parkers MOT and provided purpose‑built premises at reduced rent to Rok Skool, enabling them to continue serving the community. We also offer reduced‑rent housing for key workers, reflecting our commitment to supporting those who provide essential services to our area.

Ethics & Governance

Integrity forms the foundation of our business. We hold ourselves to high standards across the supply chain, from responsible sourcing and supplier relationships to data protection and product safety.

Clear governance structures, accountability and transparency guide how we operate and ensure that we continue to act in the best interests of our customers, colleagues and partners.

Our Commitment in Action

Our sustainability work is grounded in evidence, data and independent evaluation. We engage with trusted frameworks and platforms such as EcoVadis, Carbon Fit and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to track, verify and challenge our progress.

In October 2025, our greenhouse gas reduction targets were officially approved by the SBTi and aligned with a 1.5°C pathway, the most ambitious climate trajectory available.

This milestone demonstrates our long‑term commitment to climate action. We will continue to measure and report on our progress each year, ensuring our actions match our ambitions.
