Adelphi Masterfil Launches the Powercap Inline Capper
18/12/25
Innovative solution added to the proven Masterfil range of cappers
Based on the principles of our flagship model, the Mastercap, the Adelphi Masterfil engineering team has created a new generation of capping machine.
Retaining all the core capabilities of the proven Mastercap, the Powercap is a cost-effective, smaller machine that can be delivered in significantly shorter lead times. This opens up the benefits of capping automation to a wider audience, including those with space-restricted sites who may previously have struggled to find suitable solutions.
Key Specifications
- Containers: 500 ml to 25 L
- Cap Range: 20 mm to 80 mm
Suitable For: screw caps, press-on caps, tamper-proof caps, aerosol overcaps, inserts
Innovative Features for Modern Manufacturing
Your containers are measured using 3D scanning technology, and the corresponding machine parts are directly printed from the digital files to ensure 100 percent tooling accuracy.
Machine change parts are also 3D printed, enabling shorter lead times—our best endeavor is a three-working-day turnaround. Because these parts are made in-house, the carbon footprint is greatly reduced, supporting both our sustainability goals and yours.
Other standout features include:
- “No cap” detector with warning lamp; when an uncapped container is detected, the conveyor stops for easy removal
- Magnetic hysteresis adjustable screw-capping clutch for accurate, consistent torque control
- Inline twin gating system to reduce splashing, bottle compression, and damage
- Indexed locations and mechanical position indicators for easily repeatable container handling settings
- Quick strip and tool-less changeover, completing in around five minutes
Proven Reliability
At Adelphi Masterfil, machines are designed based on real conversations with customers to address genuine production challenges. The Powercap retains the most valued features of the Mastercap, including:
- Fast, reliable cap application
- Robust construction with 304-grade stainless steel cladding
- Easily adjustable variable-torque magnetic clutch
- 'No container, no cap' and queue sensing
- Cap track low-level detection, 'no foil' detection, and cap reject
- Remote access capability and support
The Powercap Inline Capping Machine is a game-changer for businesses looking to streamline capping processes without compromising on quality or performance. Its affordability, compact design, improved lead time, and proven reliability make it an ideal choice for companies seeking a competitive edge in today’s fast-paced industrial landscape.
Decanting liquids from large containers is challenging and potentially hazardous. Manual handling increases the risk of spills, contamination, and operator injury. Maintaining flow efficiency without sacrificing accuracy is crucial. Different viscosities—from light oils to dense syrups or chemicals—require a smooth, controlled transfer.
Many businesses overlook the hidden costs of inefficient drum decanting, such as product waste, extra cleaning, and safety risks. Spillage, inaccurate filling, and contamination can lead to downtime, fines, and damaged customer relationships.
Adelphi Masterfil’s Drum Decanting Unit eliminates these inefficiencies by ensuring precision, reducing waste, and improving overall operational safety. By automating this key stage of your process, you can protect your bottom line while enhancing workplace safety and sustainability.
Increased Throughput for Greater Profitability
The Drum Decanting Unit has been specifically engineered to overcome throughput challenges and help meet customer demand more efficiently. The machine can be configured to decant from either single drums or IBCs. Key features include:
- Fast decanting using high-viscosity variable-speed progressive cavity pumps
- 4" I/D hose option between nozzle and pump to optimise pump performance
- Pump speed feedback loop to maximise product flow rate—up to 50 litres per minute
- Suitable for decanting high-viscosity additives, typically up to 23,000 cst
- Unique lance design for sequential decanting and rinsing
Speed is only part of the equation. The Drum Decanting Unit also incorporates a drum-tilting station to ensure that as much liquid as possible is extracted, while a built-in spray cleaning rinse cycle prevents residue build-up and cross-contamination between batches.
Pipework can be air-purged to minimise expensive additive loss, and a nozzle wiper and flying drip tray improve overall product retrieval. A manifold inlet option is also available to decant from multiple additive sources. These features contribute to sustainable practices by reducing costly product wastage.
Safety at the Forefront
Beyond speed and efficiency, safety remains a top priority in liquid transfer operations. Improper decanting techniques can lead to static build-up, splash hazards, and even fire risks when handling volatile substances.
The Drum Decanting Unit is designed with safety in mind. The lance used for decanting is fully enclosed, ensuring that operators are protected from direct contact with the liquid.
A self-cleaning mechanism further enhances hygiene and minimises exposure to potentially hazardous substances. Additionally, an air purge system in the pipework helps to recover every last drop of liquid, preventing unnecessary waste and leakage.
Future-Proofing Operations
As businesses look to optimise their production processes, investing in advanced decanting equipment generates cost savings in labour, material loss, and safety incidents.
For companies ready to move beyond manual decanting, Adelphi Masterfil’s Drum Decanting Unit presents a compelling solution. By addressing the key challenges of drum and IBC decanting, it enables industries to enhance productivity while maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
