Manufacturers and blenders of aromatherapy and essential oils face unique challenges when investing in filling equipment. Most brands offer not just one product but an entire range of scents and blends, each requiring consistent, precise filling.

Investing in an automatic or semi-automatic filling machine, or a complete turnkey line, brings major advantages:

  • Higher precision with fewer human errors
  • Consistent fill levels across product ranges
  • Reduced product wastage and greater efficiency
  • Faster production speeds and improved profitability

Selecting the right filling machine is therefore critical to optimise procedures, save time and costs, and add long-term value to your operation.

1. Made in the UK

Choosing a UK-based manufacturer ensures rapid access to replacement parts and local servicing when needed. Adelphi’s Response range, including benchtop, semi-automatic, fully automatic and Monobloc fillers, is manufactured at our South of England site, where customers are welcome to visit for demonstrations and tours. Being UK-based also means you can easily connect with existing customers for personal recommendations.

2. Accuracy

Accurate filling reduces costly product loss and guarantees uniformity. Adelphi offers both volumetric and liquid-level filling options:

  • Volumetric machines dispense an exact volume of oil regardless of the container’s appearance.
  • Liquid-level machines fill to a specific height, even if the actual volume varies slightly.

The Response Volumetric range achieves exceptional accuracy of ±0.25%, significantly outperforming the industry average.

3. Easy Cleaning during Changeovers

Essential oils often require frequent product changes. All Response machines use clean, lubricant-free pneumatics and tri-clover hopper connections. The quick-strip design means the filler can be fully deconstructed in around five minutes for cleaning. This ensures minimal downtime when switching between different oils or container sizes.

4. Hygiene

For personal care products, strict hygiene standards are vital. The Response range meets pharmaceutical-level requirements:

  • Wetted parts in 316L stainless steel, PTFE, and Viton
  • All-stainless construction with curved, sloping surfaces to meet GMP standards

5. Flexibility

Work with a manufacturer who supports both your current needs and future expansion. The Response range is designed to scale with your business:

  • Start with a Benchtop Filler and later integrate it into a Monobloc Filler or the Automation Base as demand grows.
  • The Automation Base can run up to four Benchtop fillers simultaneously, which can be removed and used as stand-alone semi-automatic units at any time.

This modular design protects your initial investment and avoids obsolescence. One customer noted that Adelphi monitored their company growth and recommended machines accordingly, making sure resources were not overstretched.

6. Sustainability

A sustainable supply chain is increasingly important for both manufacturers and consumers. Adelphi’s commitment to environmental responsibility is demonstrated through:

  • An energy-efficient production facility, The Friary
  • Multiple awards recognising efforts in sustainable manufacturing and packaging solutions

Partnering with a supplier who prioritises sustainability adds genuine value to your brand’s story.
