High-quality vials are critical to maintaining product integrity, but the lab equipment that handles them is equally important. From filling to sealing and inspection, each stage in the vial journey affects quality, compliance, and workflow efficiency.

Adelphi Manufacturing offers three key technologies to support this process: the XYZ Distributor, the Powered Vial Crimper, and the Apollo II Liquid Inspection Unit. Together, they enable streamlined production and rigorous quality assurance.

Did You Know:
Our sister company, Adelphi Healthcare Packaging, can supply both sterile and non-sterile vials to meet your production requirements.

Vial Filling with the XYZ Distributor

The XYZ Distributor is designed for extremely accurate dosing, suitable for research and mid-scale manufacturing. Compatible with a variety of container types, including crimp-necked glass injection vials, it offers:

  • Programmable control for speed and nozzle positioning
  • High repeatable accuracy to support GMP compliance
  • Capability for viscous biotech formulations or aqueous diagnostic reagents

Its intuitive interface and precise operation reduce the risk of overfilling or underfilling while supporting cleanroom workflows.

Secure Sealing with the Powered Vial Crimper

Sealing is a critical step in maintaining product integrity. The Powered Vial Crimper delivers consistent crimping and uniform seal quality across batches, suitable for:

  • Plain, flip-top, flip-off, and flip-tear seals
  • Crimping and de-capping operations

By streamlining the final stages of production, this unit helps safeguard sterility and container closure integrity, ensuring each batch meets quality standards.

Product Quality with the Apollo II

The Apollo II Liquid Inspection Unit serves as the final quality gate, offering rapid, repeatable visual inspection for particulate matter:

  • High-Intensity Apollo II: Provides 8,000–10,000 lux using three LED bulbs, ideal for amber glass containers, opalescent or coloured solutions, and lyophilisates.
  • Dimmable Apollo II: Adjustable lighting between 1,200 and 3,500 lux, suitable for photosensitive drugs and variable ambient conditions.

Both standard and high-intensity models conform to European Pharmacopoeia specifications, ensuring regulatory compliance while detecting even subtle particulates.

Serving a Global and Diverse Industry

From biotech start-ups to diagnostic labs and pharmaceutical CMOs, the need for reliable vial handling equipment is universal.

By integrating the XYZ Distributor, Apollo II, and Powered Vial Crimper, you can confidently:

  • Process delicate or reactive formulations
  • Maintain batch integrity
  • Adapt quickly to changing production needs, from early-stage development to high-throughput commercial runs

Investing in these systems ensures precision, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across your vial-based production processes.
