January 28, 2020
Adelphi Donates to Local Fundraiser: Adelphi are proud to have donated to Haywards Heath Rugby Club’s Clubhouse Project; an appeal raising money to fund a new multi-sports pavilion for their site.
HHRFC, founded in 1926, boasts a rich history steeped in the traditions of English rugby. Established as a focal point for the local community, the club has evolved over the decades, shaping its identity through a commitment to sportsmanship, camaraderie, and excellence on the rugby pitch. The club has weathered the challenges of time, contributing significantly to the growth and popularity of rugby in the Haywards Heath area. From its early days as a local gathering for rugby enthusiasts to becoming a well-respected institution, the club has seen successes and triumphs on both competitive and community fronts. Throughout its history, Haywards Heath Rugby Club has served as a source of pride for its members and supporters, fostering a sense of belonging and unity. The club’s journey reflects the enduring spirit of grassroots rugby, encapsulating the values that make the sport an integral part of the community it serves.
Tracey Spuyman, HHRFC’s PR & Communications Director, sent this message to Adelphi: “The Club is very grateful for this unexpected generosity and hopes that other businesses with similar corporate social responsibility goals will follow this lead”. Read more about this project here >>>
Charity and community are very much at the heart of the Adelphi Group’s values, and this represents one of many local causes which Adelphi are pleased to support. Previous recipients have included the Raystede Animal Welfare Centre, Cuckfield Book Festival, and The Sussex Heart Charity.
