Adelphi sponsors local student’s “trip of a lifetime”
August 31, 2018
Local resident and Warden Park Academy student Elise Jones has thanked Adelphi Group Chairman Stephen Holroyd for what she describes as “the trip of a lifetime” to Peru in the summer of 2018, facilitated by his kind sponsorship.
Adelphi, a company known for its commitment to education and community engagement, recently demonstrated its dedication by sponsoring a student’s transformative trip to Peru. The sponsorship reflects Adelphi’s recognition of the profound impact that experiential learning can have on a student’s personal and academic development. By generously supporting this student’s journey to Peru, Adelphi has not only opened doors to cultural enrichment but has also enabled the individual to gain valuable insights into global perspectives, foster cross-cultural understanding, and develop a broader worldview. Such initiatives highlight Adelphi’s belief in investing in the educational growth of students beyond traditional classroom boundaries, showcasing a corporate ethos that values holistic learning experiences and strives to empower the next generation through meaningful opportunities. This sponsorship serves as a testament to Adelphi’s commitment to education and its understanding of the importance of broadening horizons for students to thrive in an interconnected world.
“This experience was one I will never forget, and I couldn’t have done it without your help. With your support, I was able to grow and learn so much through my many experiences, both before and during my trip. With your kindness, I was able to enjoy an experience of a lifetime. With your generosity, I was able to help build greenhouses, playgrounds, dining areas, toilets and more for people who need it the most. I can’t even begin to explain to you how much of a difference your contribution made, and I thank you hugely for it. I hope you enjoyed hearing about my experiences during my volunteering trip to Peru. Enjoy the rest of your summer and thank you again for the incredible difference you helped make”. ~ Elise
